That's a quote from the new ISPE guide to Cultural Excellence.

And I think they are spot on. As I have said numerous times:

๐Ÿ’ฅPeople are messy

๐Ÿ’ฅBehaviours take time to change

So you can't just throw budget at a new 'quality culture' project for 6-12 months and expect things to stick. For long, anyway.

๐Ÿ‘‰Top management have to live it.

๐Ÿ‘‰Leaders and managers within the company have to live it

๐Ÿ‘‰Employees have to get it and be supported to adapt That takes time.

It also means it will take planning, positive reinforcement, training managers and maybe changing managers who don't get it (or won't get it). Part of establishing a quality culture is trust and honest communication. Listening to different points of view, not the loudest voices in the room.

Lots of things to think about! Do you think a quality culture is possible in our industry?
