Committed to delivering excellence
If we are committed to delivering excellence and upholding the highest standards in what we do, we occasionally face decisions that go beyond financial gains.
Sometimes, it's about our values, ethics, and the impact we make. So, let's talk 'real talk' for a minute.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆?
🚫 For me, I have become increasingly focused on my purpose and what I am here to do - I say no to client projects that either will take me in a different direction or will have too high a 'time' cost.
I am also much less about pigeon-holing different aspects of life, like work/life balance - and just looking at 'life'. Making sure that things that keep me healthy and happy, increase the joy, are part of my week now.
They are not something to be squeezed into a weekend. And likewise, if it makes more sense to sit at the laptop over the weekend, then thats ok too.
That doesn't mean that we don't work hard at what we do. But it does mean I have to CONSTANTLY realign my mindset that 9-5 is work time and nothing else.
That's just not healthy. Especially when I can be much more efficient and product in working differently.
