Quality culture is improved by influencing personnel behaviours. So how do you positively reinforce quality culture as well as boost personnel engagement at work?
Regularly celebrating - whether its the outcome of a project, or fixing a potential problem before it becomes a real issue. Rewarding and recognising - not just for good work (though that is great in itself!), but for recognising potential issues and improvements that improve processes or systems.
And then there is recognition and reward when someone goes the extra mile in their job. Encouraging development opportunities and knowledge sharing across the business - this might mean shifting a regular meeting to allow people to attend, or getting an industry speaker in to talk with personnel and maybe visit their area of the site to talk about improvements.
There could be LOTS of ways to support this, you just need to put your creative hat on! Defining and sharing best practice - this might the site's best practice or industry expectations.
How do your people know what is best practice? Is there any discussion on site about this? Is it documented and trained, and if not, why not? What about you, what does your site do to reinforce a strong quality culture?
